Alderville First Nation student finalist in prestigious national scholarship

A prestigious scholarship is within arm’s reach for Alderville First Nation student Gabriella deHaas. She has worked her way through the application, multiple interviews, and has become one of 90 Canadian finalists vying to be a Loran Scholar. For Gabriella, that would mean a funding boost to university where she can study her passion of Indigenous education, and show her home community the possibilities for Indigenous youth. She joins Noor Ibrahim on Global News Morning Peterborough less than 24 hours before the National Interviews begin in Toronto, where 36 Loran Scholars will be chosen as outstanding students, community leaders, and volunteers.
