Chinese foreign ministry reiterated on Friday that the government was firmly opposed to official interactions and military ties between the United States and Taiwan, amid a news report that a Pentagon official has arrived at the island for a visit. Speaking to reporters in Beijing, Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin said the U.S. should “stop meddling” with Taiwan and China.
