On Monday, White House National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby spoke about the next steps the government is taking following the shooting down of an unidentified object over Lake Huron on Sunday, as well as the recent aerial takedown of a suspected Chinese spy balloon. In addition to collecting debris, Kirby mentioned the U.S. is continuing to monitor for more aerial objects and continuing to brief officials at the state level on what they're learning.
