Speaking to reporters on Thursday, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation spokeswoman Keli McAlister provided an update after one person was fatally shot and a police officer was critically injured earlier that afternoon, in what the authorities described on social media as a “police-involved shooting” at a library in Memphis, Tenn. The officer was taken to a hospital in “extremely critical” condition, according to the police department.
