A new study from UBC’s Sauder School of Business shows that owners of $3.7-million homes in Vancouver pay just $15,800 in income tax. We talk to the study’s co-author and Sauder School of Business Associate Professor Tom Davidoff about the findings, and a possible solution. He also discusses the City of Vancouver’s proposed tax on short term rentals to help pay for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
