Belle Jarniewski, executive director of the Jewish Heritage Centre of Western Canada, discussed the importance of preserving history on International Holocaust Remembrance Day on Friday. Jarniewski said that preservation and education are critical as incidents of antisemitism rise in Canada and younger generations grow up uninformed or misinformed about the Holocaust.
