The non-profit organization ACORN is calling on the federal government to crack down on so-called ‘predatory’ lenders, by lowering the maximum interest rate payday lenders can charge. Janna Martin of the Newton Chapter of ACORN shares her own experience with high interest lenders, and discusses the importance of restricting interest rates for low and middle income earners.
