Monterey Park Police Chief Scott Wiese spoke Sunday about security measures at a Lunar New Year celebration in the city before a deadly shooting happened that killed 10. Hundreds of thousands of people were attending the event. While uniformed officers were patrolling the event and there were drones overhead, he said, security checks on every person was not possible.
