Speaking in Ottawa on Friday, Conservative Party Leader Pierre Poilievre said that people are “hurting” in response to a question about former Conservative leader Erin O’Toole’s recent online criticism of “profanity laden” Prime Minister Justin Trudeau flags. “Yes, of course we should tell people to be more civil and to reject offensive signs, flags and language — but we should also ask ourselves, ‘Why are people hurting so badly?’” Poilievre said.
