Some Ukrainian soldiers joined other worshippers on Sunday to attend a Christmas morning mass in Kharkiv as the war with Russia continued. In the past, Ukrainian Christians mostly celebrated Christmas in early January, but this year it’s being observed by many on Dec. 25 after Ukraine’s main Orthodox Church broke with Moscow.
