With temperatures in the thirties, dozens of migrants slept in and outside of shelters in El Paso, Texas last night, where a “migrant emergency” has been declared. Hundreds of members of the Texas National Guard have been deployed, along with heavy equipment, amid concern of a major spike in asylum- seekers, if a pandemic- era policy, known as title 42 is allowed to expire.
