Manitoba Premier Heather Stefanson spoke alongside Winnipeg Mayor Scott Gillingham on Thursday afternoon at City Hall to announce operations at Prairie Green Landfill will pause to allow for the assessment of a full forensic operation. Gillingham added that the next steps must not jeopardize the criminal investigation and must be informed by Indigenous leaders.
