Kyra Wilson, Long Plain First Nation Chief demanded on Thursday for Winnipeg police Chief Danny Smyth to resign after investigators declared the potential search of Prairie Green Landfill to be “not feasible.” According to police, two of four victims of an alleged murderer may be located in the Prairie Green Landfill. Wilson said the police’s decision not to search Prairie Green sends the message that Indigenous women don’t matter.
