Speaking to the media on Saturday, Corporal Julie Courchaine of the Manitoba RCMP provided updates about a “random” kidnapping in the Portage La Prairie area that took place on Friday. Courchaine identified the suspect as a 62-year-old male who was previously known to authorities, but did not disclose details on past warrants.
