Peterborough County OPP say four people are dead and one seriously injured following a head-on collision on Hwy. 7 east of Peterborough on Tuesday evening.
The collision between a pickup truck and SUV occurred around 5:15 p.m. on the highway near Drummond Line in Otonabee-South Monaghan Township.
Four people were pronounced deceased at the scene while another person was taken to a Toronto-area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
