‘Biofoam’ developed by B.C. researchers to address plastic pollution

A new biodegradable packing foam developed at UBC could potentially help address plastic pollution. A team from the university’s faculty of forestry worked alongside members of the Wet’suwet’en First Nation to repurpose wood waste left from wildfires in the community to create biodegradable packaging material.
