During a news conference on Thursday, the province’s chief medical officer of health Dr. Robert Strang said Nova Scotia is not reintroducing mask mandates, since most infections spread where it would not apply anyway. Instead, he asked residents to still use protective measures in crowded places and around vulnerable people.
