Speaking during question period at the House of Commons on Wednesday, Conservative MP Michael Chong continued to press the federal government regarding reports of 11 electoral candidates receiving funding through the Beijing consulate in Toronto during the 2019 election. Chong’s line of questioning regarding “Beijing’s meddling” came after Prime Minister Justin Trudeau met with Chinese President Xi Jinping at the G20 summit.
