At least one person was sent to hospital following a collision on Highway 115 south of Peterborough on Tuesday evening during the first blast of winter weather.
Emergency crews were called to Highway 115 south of Porter Road around 8:30 p.m.
When crews arrived, they found an SUV that had rolled into the centre median.
Several people inside the vehicle were assessed by paramedics and one was eventually transported to hospital.
Around the same time, a second collision occurred on the same stretch of highway.
Injuries in that crash were believed to be minor.
