Minister of Public Safety, Mike Farnworth, announced Thursday that the City of Abbotsford, along with the Sumas First Nation, will be making permanent repairs to the Sumas Dike following last November’s devastating rainfall. Farnworth says Emergency Management B.C. will be contributing more than $1.6 million and repairs are expected to be complete by the end of the month.
