Dr. Theresa Tam, Canada's chief public health officer spoke on Thursday on whether people should start wearing masks indoors again as cases of Omicron COVID-19 variants rise. She said wearing a mask indoors is recommended as an extra layer of protection against spreading infection, and to help hospitals deal with increased cases of raspatory diseases, but added it’s up to provincial authorities to impose any actual mandates.
