An African Nova Scotian advocacy group is pleased historic Black communities in the Halifax area now have safeguards in place. The group was concerned about the province’s legislation to address the housing crisis, fearing it would lead to gentrification. N.S. changed the bill, but the advocacy group says protection needs to be expanded. Amber Fryday has the story.
