Pat King, one of the leaders of the “Freedom Convoy,” on Wednesday told the inquiry into the invocation of the Emergencies Act that the COVID-19 vaccine mandates for truckers were seen as a “direct attack on the Canadian economy” because they are the “backbone” of the economy. He went on to explain how he got involved in the convoy and said the goal was to “exercise your voice and be heard” about concerns “with the way things are being controlled.”
