Climate activist Anjali Appadurai speaks to the media on Thursday afternoon at the B.C. legislature following her disqualification from the BC NDP leadership race by party executives. Appadurai says that she entered the race with a different set of values and “rose too fast and took power off guard.” She speaks about how social movements and democracy have brought change throughout history and says the policies she has brought forward in the campaign should still be used by the BC NDP.
