Saskatoon police responded to a report of a man, 54, who barricaded himself inside his apartment unit on the 300 block of Pendygrasse Road early Friday morning. Police said the incident began at 12:30 a.m. when a report of a man armed with a knife had threatened harm to others.
When police arrived he barricaded himself inside his unit. After several hours of negotiation, police breached the suspect’s unit and used non-lethal weapons to take him into custody. The suspect was transported to hospital and charges are pending.
