Deputy chief public health officer at Health Canada Dr. Howard Njoo shared on Friday the updated guidance from the agency on fall boosters for COVID-19. The guidance for people 12 years or older eligible for a booster to get an Omicron-targeting bivalent vaccine. It’s also recommended that people get a booster shot if it’s been six months or more since their last vaccine shot or COVID-19 infection.
