Providing an update on their investigation into multiple stabbings on James Smith Cree Nation in early September, Assistant RCMP Commissioner Rhonda Blackmore said on Thursday that they now consider Damien Sanderson a victim of his brother, Myles Sanderson. Blackmore also said the brothers were involved in at least three separate violent incidents prior to the stabbing spree that killed 11 people and injured 18 others. Damien Sanderson was initially considered a suspect in the stabbings.
