Winnipeg transit users share ideas for improvements with safety

Global Winnipeg hit the streets on Wednesday to ask transit users downtown how Winnipeg’s next mayor could improve their next bus commute — safety was a common concern. Winnipeg transit users say waiting around for buses can pose a risk and commuters need to be aware of their surroundings. Riders say transit security should also track what’s happing inside the bus. In addition to safety, riders feel some areas of the city are underserved.
