Over 70% of cyber fraud scams in 2021 via internet: Canada Industry and Technology committee

RCMP Director General of the National Cybercrime Co-ordination Unit Chris Lynam addressed the Canadian Industry and Technology committee on Monday regarding fraudulent phone calls and scams. Lynam said of the reported fraud losses of victims in 2021, more than 70 per cent were through cyber attacks via the internet.
