Vancouver Island doctor sounds alarm about mother’s home care

Dr. Jennifer Lush says her mother’s experience with home care should serve as a wake-up call for seniors who want to stay in their own homes. Marianne Lush is 86 years old, paraplegic, and dying of cancer. She wants to live her final days in her own home in Saanich but was left helpless recently when a home care worker called in sick. Kylie Stanton reports.
