The impending public transit strike is really bringing to the forefront how the system in the Central Okanagan is operated. Many think it’s entirely run by the province and while BC Transit, a crown corporation, is responsible for the delivery of the service, it contracts the operation of it out to a private company. And that model is being blamed by the union representing bus drivers, as a big part of the labour problems. Klaudia Van Emmerik explains.
