Montreal property values jump on average 32.5%

Property tax assessments across the island of Montreal have jumped and city officials say it’s a result of the dynamic real estate market in the city recently. The city says the hike won’t necessarily amount to an increase in property taxes. Still, as Global’s Phil Carpenter reports, some are concerned.
