Charles III officially becomes King – what happens next?

September 10, 2022

Charles was officially proclaimed King in a ceremony of pomp and circumstance broadcast on TV and online for the first time in the history of accession of British monarchs. Blending the medieval and modern, King Charles III paid tribute to his mother, Queen Elizabeth II. Buckingham Palace has also confirmed the queen's funeral will take place Sept. 19. In less than a week, the U.K. has a new king and prime minister. Redmond Shannon reports on the historic moment seen Saturday and what's next.
