The Summit Wellness Centre is a project that has been in the works since 2019. It’s a facility meant to fill gaps in health care for northern Kawartha Lakes communities.
Now, having surpassed the one million dollar fundraising goal, preliminary construction is set to begin at the Coboconk site before the end of the year.
Jennifer Wilson is the general manager for the Coboconk, Norland, & Area Chamber of Commerce. She joins Caley Bedore to explain what this wellness centre will mean for residents.
