Why didn’t the B.C. government provide direct rebate cheques to help with the cost of living?

While speaking in Langford, B.C., on Wednesday, Premier John Horgan was asked by Global News reporter Richard Zussman why his government did not provide rebate cheques to all British Columbians, like other jurisdictions, to help with rising costs in the province. Horgan says the government wanted to target resources to help those who needed them the most.
