International Overdose Awareness Day is a global event that aims to raise awareness of overdose and reduce the stigma of a drug-related death.
For 31 families in Peterborough, 2022 brings a particularly tragic connection to this day. That is how many families have lost someone to overdose this year, so far in the city of Peterborough.
Jessica Penner is the coordinator at Peterborough Drug Strategy, and joined Teresa Kaszuba to speak on the importance of this subject.
