After touring a hydrogen production facility in Edmonton, Alta. on Thursday, Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland said that Canada is “committed” to defending Arctic security and NATO allies. Her remarks come as Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg on a three-day joint trip in the Canadian Arctic.
