U.S. Under Secretary of Defense for Policy Dr. Colin H. Kahl announced a new package of $2.98 billion in security assistance to Ukraine under the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI) at the Pentagon on Wednesday. According to Kahl, the money will be used to fund weapons, ammunition, equipment such as drones and military training for Ukrainian troops.
