An estimated 65 Ukrainian families are now settling in Cochrane. The settlement efforts are driven by volunteers who say the it’s easier to access help in a smaller community. As Carolyn Kury de Castillo reports, a Facebook group that has been helping Ukrainians to come to Calgary is now cautioning newcomers about coming to the city because of the price of housing and lack of rental supply.
