Buffalo Police Department Commissioner Joseph Gramaglia said on Sunday that the 18-year-old suspect in the Tops supermarket shooting Saturday that left 10 people dead and injured three others in Buffalo, N.Y., will be prosecuted for a hate crime. Out of the 13 victims, 11 were Black and two were white while the shooter is white. “This is an absolute racist hate crime, it will be prosecuted as a hate crime,” Gramaglia said. “This is someone who has hate in their heart, soul and mind and there is no mistake that this is the direction this is going in.”
