In an interview last week, U.S. Rep. Jamie Raskin said that former president Donald Trump was prepared to “seize” the presidency and that he attempted a coup on Jan. 6, when some of his supporters stormed the Capitol in an attempt to prevent the certification by Congress of Joe Biden’s victory. Raskin said it would be the focus of committee hearings in Congress next month.
