COVID-19: Lockdowns slowly lifted in Shanghai, China amid growing anger among residents

China’s government relaxed the shutdown in areas of Shanghai Tuesday that have had no new Covid cases. Some people were allowed to leave their homes, and some food sellers were able to reopen. It appears to be the government’s response to public anger, food shortages, and a serious business slowdown.
