WHO director-general says most likely COVID-19 scenario for 2022 is evolution, but severity declines
Description
March 30, 2022
World Health Organization director-general Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus spoke Wednesday about the agency's COVID-19 preparedness and response plan for 2022, saying that the most-likely scenario it laid out was that while the disease would continue to evolve, severity would decline as immunity globally rises. However, he again called for more equitable access to vaccine, saying it was the most powerful tool available for saving lives.
