Ontario MPP Randy Hillier said Monday that he did not assault a police officer, despite facing charges including “assault on peace of public officer.” Hillier said he was involved in thousands of interactions during the so-called “Freedom convoy” protest in Ottawa and “only ever greeted people with love and affection and embrace and handshakes.”
