Scrolling through social media can sometimes set off Abdullah Barez’s anxiety. With every photo comes “unrealistic” pressure to be better, eat cleaner and hit the gym harder. Though not officially diagnosed, Barez described his insecurities as body dysmorphia – a mental health condition resulting in an obsessive, negative perception of one’s body.
