In overwhelming response, the United Nations General Assembly passed a vote on Wednesday to diplomatically isolate Russia by “deploring its aggression against Ukraine” and demanding Moscow withdraw its troops and stop fighting. After the vote passed, eruptions of applause began, with 141 countries voting in favour, five opposing and 35 absent votes.
