EU Foreign Minister Josep Borrell on Monday denounced Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko’s decision to call a constitutional referendum on his country’s non-nuclear status amid the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine. He said the European Union would further strengthen sanctions against Belarus “and all those who cooperate with Russian military aggressions against Ukraine.”
