Trucker protests: Trudeau says threat remains, but police forces have ‘sufficient’ tools to deal with further disruptions

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau revoked the use of the Emergencies Act on Wednesday, explaining that there were “occupations so solidly implanted that police didn’t have the resources or tools available to dislodge them, that emergency is now over.” Trudeau added that the “threat continues,” but that his government has a high level of confidence in the existing tools police forces have across Canada will be sufficient to deal with further disruptions.
