Prime Minister Justin Trudeau spoke Monday about powers in the Emergencies Act that have come into play, including compelling tow trucks drivers to “come and do their jobs,” adding when the act was invoked some companies needed to be compelled. He also said the power to designate critical infrastructure, like border crossings and approaches to them, allowed law enforcement to keep the majority of a convoy from Fort McMurray “largely turned away” at the Manitoba-Ontario border.
