Trucker protests: Trudeau, Bergen clash over invocation of Emergencies Act

During Tuesday’s session of Question Period in the House of Commons, interim Conservative Party Leader Candice Bergen opposed Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s invocation of the Emergencies Act amid the weeks-long trucker protests occupying Ottawa. Trudeau assured the House that this act is targeted and rights and freedoms according to the Charter would be respected.
